SAN FRANCISCO – In the fourth episode of "Behind the Mask," the show that goes beyond the game, San Francisco women's basketball guard Rachel Howard's year-long journey is profiled.

The junior from Berkeley, Calif., relives the devastating knee injury that left her cheering on the sidelines during West Coast Conference play one year ago. As she returns to the court in 2015-16, better than ever, she is motivated to help the Dons return to the postseason for back-to-back years by swishing threes, dishing the rock, battling for loose balls and giving her all.

Starting all 15 of the Dons' games thus far this season, Howard is averaging 12.9 points, 3.9 assists and 1.4 steals per game. She swishes 40.7 percent of her attempts from distance, a mark good for fourth in the WCC and 63rd in the NCAA. She also lands in the league's top 15 in points, field goal percentage, assists, and assist-to-turnover ratio. Earlier this season, Howard tied the school record in 3-pointers in a game, swishing seven balls from long range as the Dons defeated Long Beach State on Dec. 8.

The Dons host San Diego at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center tonight at 7 p.m., in the first meeting between the two since USF upended the 2nd-seeded Toreros in the semifinals of the WCC Championships last March.

The show, which originally debuted at the close of December, will be reaired today at 3 p.m., and tomorrow at 9 p.m., on Comcast SportsNet California. In addition to viewing opportunities this week, fans can catch this episode of "Behind the Mask" Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 14 at 3 p.m., and Friday, Jan. 15 at 9 p.m.
