Seniors Jessica Nakae and Amanda Whittle took home first-team West Coast Conference All-Academic honors on Wednesday, while Sonja Giraud and Ali Schaffer earned honorable mention All-Academic recognition.
 
Nakae, a kinesiology major, holds a 3.81 GPA and was second on the team with seven points this season. She earned first-team All-Academic honors last year and honorable mention the year prior.  
 
Whittle, also a kinesiology major, boasts a 3.74 GPA while leading the team with 18 points on the year. Whittle was an All-Academic first-teamer in 2015 and an honorable mention honoree in 2014.   
 
Meanwhile, Giraud and Schaffer are both repeat All-Academic honorable mention recipients. Giraud, who is majoring in international business, holds a 3.43 GPA and ranked second on the team with 11 points this season. Schaffer, an accounting major, carries a 3.3 GPA and has been a key defensive cog over her four years on the Hilltop who, with 77 career appearances, ranks among the top-10 in USF history.
