With USF's season-opener against Illinois-Chicago just days away, USFDons.com takes you inside a recent practice session for a unique look at the teaching techniques of the Dons' new coaching staff and the connectivity it has with each of it's players. First-year head coach Kyle Smith along with associate head coaches Derrick Phelps, Todd Golden and assistant coach Kevin Hovde are wired for sound in this edition of Dons Insider: Final Preparations.

USF opens the 2016-17 season this Friday night against Illinois-Chicago. Tip-off is at 8:00 p.m. and the game will be preceded by the USF-Sacramento State women's game which gets underway at 6:00 p.m. Both games mark the USF coaching debuts of Kyle Smith and Molly Goodenbour. As part of the evening's festivities, USF's 2016 WCC Women's Championship banner will be unveiled in between games of the doubleheader.
 
Fans may purchase general admission tickets to the doubleheader for just $11 – a $19 savings off the normal price of $30. The special $11 tickets may be purchased online at USFDons.com/tickets, or at the Sobrato Center box office on the day of the game.
 
In addition, all children 12-under will be admitted free to the game.
