SAN FRANCISCO - Senior golfer Emelie Lundstrom is in this month's Dons Spotlight, highlighted in the latest episode of "Behind the Mask," USF's monthly cable television show. The next episode in the monthly series debuts Wednesday at 3 p.m., on Comcast SportsNet California.

A member of the Swedish national golf team for seven years, Lundstrom reflects on the decision to go to college to play for Sarah Glynn.

"Coach Sarah – she knows what it takes," Lundstrom noted. "She won the national championship her senior year, so knowing her and being able to practice with her and get to know her knowledge about the game has taught me a lot. She's a great short game player, and she's given me so much advice about how to manage your game out there on the course.

"I think my short game is one of my keys in my game. Having good putting, good chipping it is a key to success, and that's what you can see in the top players out there. That's something that I definitely want to be remembered for."

Lundstrom has the drive to parlay her collegiate experiences playing in Northern California and across the nation into a professional career, following in her father's footsteps.

"My dream of becoming a pro player has always been there since I started," she said. "Throughout my whole career that's always been a big goal and dream for me to actually be able to do what you love to do every day for the rest of my life."

"Behind the Mask" takes viewers beyond the game with a unique inside look in to all 15 of the Dons' varsity sports, and the latest episode features action from USF's spring sports action.

Along with this vignette on Lundstrom, pieces on women's basketball's postseason run and indoor and beach volleyball senior Jurja Vlasic, as well as monthly segments on rookie of the month and playmakers are highlighted.

The debut is slated to hit the airwaves at 3 p.m., prior to Wednesday's Bay Area twin bill of Oakland A's baseball and San Jose Sharks playoff hockey.

Additionally, the men's basketball show "Hilltop Hoops," which originally debuted in March, will replay on CSNCA on Monday, April 25, at 8:30 p.m., and Thursday, April 28, at 11:30 p.m.

In the San Francisco Bay Area, Comcast SportsNet California can typically be found on channel 698 for DirecTV customers, 438 on the Dish Network, 412-01 on Dish Hopper packages, 767 on U-Verse and 41 on most Comcast packages.
