MANDALAY, MYANMAR – Rising junior midfielder Camille Wilson is making her third appearance representing the Philippine Women's National Football Team this week in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Football Foundation (AFF) Championships.
"It is truly an honor and privilege to represent my country again," said Wilson. "Opportunities like these don't come along often and having the opportunity to play with the full national team is like a dream come true. I feel lucky to get a chance to play for a country that I consider a second home."
Wilson and the rest of the Filipinas opened up group play with a 4-0 loss to Thailand on July 26 at Mandalarthiri Stadium. They are slated to face Vietnam on July 28 and Singapore on July 30.

Semifinal and final rounds will be played Aug. 2 and Aug. 4, respectively.
Wilson, a Novato, Calif. native who prepped at Marin Catholic, made her Philippine debut in the 2013 Asian World Cup Qualifiers in Dhaka, Bangladesh. At 17, Wilson was the youngest player on the roster, making one appearance in the tournament. She followed that up with three appearances in the 2013 ASEAN Football Federation Championships in Yangon, Myanmar, where she netted her first international goal in a 4-0 win over Indonesia.
"Playing at a young age for the full national team in international play helped made me a mature player," added Wilson. "In addition, since freshmen year and now, [USF head coach] Jim [Millinder] has really developed me to become a successful player. He made me a stronger player coming in to this tournament."
During the 2015 season with the Dons, Wilson scored four goals while starting 14 matches and making 19 appearances overall.
Wilson is the second Don to enjoy notable international experience this year after former USF goalkeeper Madalyn Schiffel earned her first cap with the U.S. U-23 Women's National Team in helping the U.S. win the Nordic Women's Tournament in Burton-Upon-Trent, England in early June.
"This whole experience for me helped me grow as a person and as a player," said Wilson. "I am looking forward to learning from this experience and sharing this experience with others. I hope this experience helps me mature more as a person and as a player too."
