USF junior Vanessa Ha will compete at the prestigious 116th U.S. Women's Amateur on Monday, August 1st at Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, Pennsylvania.

The first team All-West Coast Conference honoree will tee off at 11:09 a.m. from the 10th tee in the first day of stroke play.

Ha clinched a spot at her second career U.S. Women's Amateur after shooting an even par 71 at the qualifying site of Mira Costa Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas.

In last year's competition for the top female amateur golfers, Ha showcased her grit and survived a 16 player playoff to earn one of the final 10 spots in the match play field. The Oak Park native ultimately advanced to the round of 32 with an impressive 4 and 3 upset over No. 2 seed Jennifer Hahn.

"Last year's experience is definitely a confidence boost because I feel like I know the ropes and how to compete at this level," said Ha. "The course is beautiful and will be a great test of skills. My golf game is in a good place. The key for me will be my mental game, which I have been working on with our coaches."

Ha led USF with five top-10 finishes of the team's 10 events during the 2015-16 season. She also led the Dons in scoring average (74.1) and claimed two individual titles at the Rose City Intercollegiate and Sacramento State Invitational.

Rolling Green Golf Club will be configured to play at par 71 and 6,259 yards. The 156 player field will compete in stroke play for the first two days, and the top-64 players will advance to a match play configuration from Wednesday to Sunday's 36-hole championship match.
