A total of seven USF golfers earned spots on the West Coast Conference's All-Academic teams for men's and women's golf, which were released today by the conference office.
Seniors
Max Alcorn (3.89; Finance) and
Mathias Wentjarvi (3.92; Finance) were first team selections, as was senior
Alison Lillie (3.83; Marketing) and junior
Emily Laskin (3.83; International Business). It marks the third straight year Alcorn and Lillie have been selected to the first team, while Wentjarvi lands first team accolades for the second straight season.
In addition,
Michael D'Angelo (3.31; Psychology),
Kimberly Liu (3.99; International Business) and
Ayaka Suzuki (3.22; International Business) were honorable mention selections.
To be considered for the team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, a significant contributor to her team and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.20.
Both men's and women's golf teams will open play on Thursday at the West Coast Conference Championships at the Riverside Country Club in Provo, Utah.
