Closing in on a week of being overseas, we take a look at the USF women's basketball team's Italian adventures.

First stop on the 10-day, multi-city trip was Rome. The Dons hit the ground running, hopping off the plane and straight to breakfast and a Rome orientation tour. The team visited the Spanish steps, Trevi fountain (heralded as the most fantastic view of Rome), and the Pantheon.

Twelve hours later, the team headed to Vatican City. Their first stop was the Vatican Museum, followed by St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel.

On Wednesday, the Dons finally arrived at one of Italy's most famous monuments – the Colosseum. They also had the opportunity to adventure around the Roman forum, the ruins of the ancient city of Rome, and "Campidoglio", a city square designed by Michelangelo.

The team started Wednesday off by heading to two of the most famous cities in Italy's Tuscany region, Siena and Florence. After a walking tour in Siena, the USF women's basketball team buckled down for a 6:30 p.m. tip-off against FSG Academy (Holland).

The following morning, the Dons were able to enjoy Florence. Accompanied by a tour guide, they visited the Accademia Gallery, which holds the world famous Michelangelo's David. Next was the Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio and the Cathedral, a defining landmark of Florence.  After a long day touring the birthplace of the Renaissance, the Dons took on TK Hannover (Germany).

The team is currently en route to Venice where they will be touted around in water taxi's along the Grand Canal before embarking on a historic tour that will include St. Marc's Square and St. Mark's Basilicia.
