Born Records NCAA Qualifying Mark At Mt Sac Relays

(Los Angeles, Calif.) - Michelle Born, of the USF Track and Field team, posted a NCAA qualifying standard Friday in the 5000 as the Dons competed at the Mt. Sac Relays. San Francisco also participated in the Bryan Clay Invitational Friday, earning two top-10 finishes.
Born earned an NCAA regional qualifying time in the 5000m, finishing in a time of 16:48.30, to place third overall. Her time alsoand set a personal-best, as well as a school record. Also competing at the event, Ganbileg Bor posted an unofficial time of 14:38.61, setting a new personal best.
At the Bryan Clay Invitational, hosted by Asuza Pacific, Byron Williams earned a victory in his heat, placing fifth overall, in the 800 with a time of 1:54.69. In the same event and same heat, Devin Hopkins fell on the track, falling all the way down, to come back and finish strong, grabbing third in the heat, with a time of 1:59.95.
On the women's side, Haley Nemra ran the 800, finishing third in her heat, 20th overall, in a time of 2:17.80.
The Dons will continue competition Saturday, as they compete at the Long Beach State Invitational.
