Dons Conclude Weekend At Long Beach Invitational

(Cerritos, Calif.) - Nicole Bowler, of the USF Track and Field team, was the top collegiate runner in the 1500m Saturday at the Long Beach Invitational in Cerritos, Calif. Bowler was one of three Dons to post top-10 finishes at the meet.
Bowler finished second overall in her lone race of the day, as the top collegiate runner, with a time of 4:29.10. In the same event, Michelle Born posted a tenth place finish with a personal-best time of 4:31.66. Born knocked nearly four seconds off of her previous personal best, 4:35, with her finish. In the same event, Sophia Ditty won her heat, placing 23rd overall, with a time of 4:45.36, a new personal-best.
On the men's side, Byron Williams earned a tenth place finish in the 1500, running a time of 3:55.01. Rounding out top-10 finishes for the Green and Gold was a ninth place finish in the 3000 steeplechase by Will Marquardt with a time of 9:47.92.
