Track Heads To Brutus Hamilton Invitational

(San Francisco) - This weekend the USF Track and Field team will travel across the Bay to compete at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational, hosted by California, in Berkeley. The meet begins Friday afternoon and continues through Saturday.
Friday afternoon will kick-off with the men's vault competition at 1 p.m., featuring USF's Alex McIntosh. In addition, in the field, Alex Delgadillo will represent the Green and Gold in the men's javelin.
Running events Friday will commence at 5:45. Racing for San Franciscon on the opening day will be Jesus Romo in the 3000 steeplechase and Ganbileg Bor, Ravi Amarawansa and Thomas Estrada in the men's 5000. Romo heads into the weekend after posting a personal best and school record at the Mt. Sac Invitational in the same event he will run Friday.
On the women's side Friday, Laurel Kleiber, Michelle Born, Sophia Ditty, Alice Hobbs and Hillary Kigar will race the 5000 for USF.
Saturday, Byron Williams, Will Marquardt and Alex Nelson, who is running unattached, will race in the 1500. In the field, Oliver Kirkeby and Alex Irani will compete in both the shot put and discus, while Briana Junior will partake in the triple jump.
