(Davis, Calif.) Byron Williams won the men's 1500 Saturday as the USF track and field team earned a dozen top-10 finishes at the Aggie Classic in Davis, Calif. Also in the 1500, Michael Barnes and Ganbileg Bor each posted top-10 marks.

Byron won the race with a season best time of 3:56.28. Barnes slightly edged out Bor for sixth place, finishing in a time of 4:00.56.7, while Bor finished seventh in 4:00.66. Also on the track, Derek DeSantiago finished 10th in the 800 with a time of 1:57.39.

Oliver Kirkeby led the Dons in field events, recording two top-10 finishes. In the shot put, Kirkeby finished fifth with a distance of 14.48, before posting an eighth place discus contest with a mark of 43.10. Also in the field, Alex Delgadillo finished seventh in the javelin, recording a mark of 51.39.

On the women's side, Arianna Edwards paced San Francisco with a third place finish in the 800, with a time of 2:17.79. Alice Baker and Mary Sandri posted fourth and fifth place finishes in the 1500 with times of 4:47.93 and 4:48.75, respectively. Both times were personal bests for Baker and Sandri.

USF will compete next weekend at the Cal Nevada Championships. Preliminaries and the distance carnival will be held Saturday, and Sunday will be the finals at UCLA.
