In the first day of the California Collegiate Track Championships junior Jennifer Hartford finished fifth for the Dons in the 5000 meter race with a time of 17:51.54. Also running well for the Dons in the 5000m was sophomore Michelle Born who finished ninth with a time of 18:21.76.

In Saturday action at Berkeley, sophomore Alex Nelson finished second in the men's 1500m with a time of 3:54.18, the second fastest time in USF history. Also competing for the Dons on Saturday was freshman Micael Smith who ran a time of 1:57.05 in the men's 800m.

Also competing in the 5000m with Born and Hartford was junior Elizabeth Noey (18:48.96, 11th) and freshman Mary Verran (18:50.93, 12th).

Competing tomorrow for the Dons in the second day of the California Collegiate Championships will be sophomore Alex Nelson in the men's 1500m race and freshman Micael Smith in the men's 800m.
