USF Track and Field Announces 2010 Schedule
Jan. 5, 2010 2010 USF Track and Field Schedule (San Francisco) - The University of San Francisco track and field team will compete in 20 outdoor and three indoor meets this season, in preparation for the 2010 NCAA Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore. Included in the 20 outdoor meets are eight in the greater Bay Area. The Dons will open the outdoor season February 6 at the Cal All-Comers meet, hosted by California in Berkeley. USF will return to Berkeley two more times during the spring, competing in All-Comers (Feb. 20) and the Brutus Hamilton Invitational (April 23-24). Including the meets in Berkeley, San Francisco will compete in eight outdoor meets hosted by Pacific-10 powerhouses. March 6, USF will face California, Stanford, UC Davis and Fresno State in Palo Alto. The Cardinal will also host the Stanford Invitational (March 26-27) and the Payton Jordan/Cardinal Qualifier (May 1). The Dons will travel to Los Angeles for the Jackie Joyner/Rafer Johnsen Invitational, hosted by UCLA, April 8-9. San Francisco will also compete in the Oregon Twilight meet at the legendary Hayward Field in Eugene on May 8. In addition to the aforementioned events, USF will compete at the Mt. Sac Invitational, as well as outdoor events hosted by UC Davis, Chico State, San Francisco State and UC Irvine. During the indoor season, USF will travel to Seattle three times for three different indoor meets hosted by Washington. The Dons will kick off the indoor season January 29-30 at the Washington Indoor Invitational.
