(Palo Alto, CA) - San Francisco women finished 10th, while the men finished 13th, at the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto on Saturday morning. Senior Michelle Born led the Dons in the women's 6k, finishing 16th (21:51), and freshman Ganbileg Bor led in the men's 8k, finishing 25th (25:19).

Sophomore Laurel Kleiber finished second for the Dons in 22:37 (45th), followed by freshman Sophia Ditty (62nd, 22:58), sophomore Nicole Bowler (87th, 23:16), freshman Haley Nemra (133rd, 23:48), freshman Hillary Kigar (147th, 24:01), junior Alice Hobbs (218th, 25:25), and sophomore Carly Holman (260th, 27:30).

The 10th place finish beat West Coast Conference foes Loyola Marymount (12th), Pepperdine (13th), Santa Clara (14th), and Saint Mary's (26th).

"We need to work harder to run as a pack," said head coach Helen Lehman-Winters. "But Michelle continues to lead our team and did well today."

On the men's side, Bor was followed by freshman Jeremy Grace (70th, 26:09), sophomore Joshua Horeled (100th, 26:35), freshman Tyler Alvarez (116th, 26:48), freshman Michael Barnes (121st, 26:54), sophomore Ravi Amarawansa (122nd, 26:54), sophomore Jesus Romo (138th, 27:13), and freshman Will Marquardt (220th, 29:23).

"Ganbileg continues to be out front for us, which is impressive because he's just a freshman," said Lehman-Winters. "He ran well in this race."

Dons' men also defeated WCC foes in the event, with the 13th place finish overtaking Santa Clara (14th), Loyola Marymount (18th), Pepperdine (20th), and Saint Mary's (28th).
