USF's Cheyne Inman Wins 2007 WCC Cross Country Men's 8K Championship

Oct. 27, 2007

(Belmont, CA) - USF senior Cheyne Inman picked an outstanding time for the best race of his career. The four-year letter-winner for the Dons won the 2007 West Coast Conference Individual Title in the 8K course at the demanding Crystal Springs course.

Prior to Inman's feat, Portland had captured 29 consecutive individual and team wins, dating all the way back to 1979. Inman is the first non-Pilot student-athlete to break the tape since Rudy Munoz of former WCC member Nevada-Reno crossed the finish line at 33:58 in 1978.
