Joe Della Cella Last College: San Francisco State, 2003 Position: Assistant Coach Experience: 4th Year

Joe Della Cella begins his second year at the University of San Francisco, where he will serve as the volunteer Assistant Coach for the Dons. Della Cella spent the two seasons prior to accepting his current position as the Director of Operations for USF Baseball.

This season Della Cella will be responsible for coaching the catchers and will serve as first base coach for the Dons.

Prior to working at USF, Della Cella received his degree from San Francisco State University after transferring from College of Marin where he was a second and third baseman. During his undergraduate work Della Cella produced "Sports Phone 680" for two years. Della Cella is a native of San Francisco and went to high school at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, where he lettered in baseball, basketball, and football.

Della Cella recently finished his Master's from USF in Sports Management.
