General Capsule: Has given team great opportunities to win games... always been in between the starters and relievers role... he is capable of doing both any time... his fastball continues to get better with a range between 88 to 91 MPH... breaking ball has improved. AT USF (2004): Started 10 games and made 21 appearances during his junior year... won five games during the season and picked up his first win going seven strong innings and struck out five against Northwestern (2/14)... went eight solid innings and struck out three to earn his second win against Pacific (3/7)... notched his third win and picked up six strikeouts in six plus innings versus Portland (3/21)... picked up final win of the season in a two inning relief stint where he struck out two versus Sonoma State (4/13). AT USF (2003): Showed moments of dominance as a sophomore... appeared in 18 games with three starts... recorded season-high five strikeouts in 5.1 innings of relief against Cal (2/4)... collected lone win of the season with 1.0 innings of relief against Sonoma State (2/11)... started in USF's win at #6 Stanford (4/1), striking out two in 4.1 innings of work. AT USF (2002): Struggled through injuries toward the end of the season... still made 18 appearances, starting on the mound six times for a total of 38.1 innings... struck out 29. PREP CAREER: Three-year letterman at Chaminade High School... received second team all-league honors and won the Coaches Award as a senior with the Eagles... named team MVP during junior campaign. PERSONAL: T.J.
