2009 SEASON: Threw in 22 games and started four as a junior... finished the season 3-4 with a 5.97 ERA... struck out 36 in 37.2 innings... earned first win in relief at Washington (3/14), tossing a season high 4.0 innings and striking out a season high five batters... started and earned the win versus UC Davis (3/24), throwing 3.0 innings and striking out four... third win came versus Pacific (5/5), when he threw 1.2 innings in relief and struck out one... struck out four in his final appearance at San Diego State (5/11). 2008 SUMMER: Earned All-Star status for the Brainerd Blue Thunder of the Northwest League 2008 SEASON: Finished his sophomore season 3-4 with a 4.20 ERA... started three and appeared in 20 games... in 49.1 innings had 44 strikeouts and just 24 walks... earned first win in relief, throwing 2.2 innings with one strikeout at UC Davis (3/5)... second win game in the very next game, a 2.0 inning, two strikeout performance at UNLV (3/7)... took his third victory in a 6.1 inning relief appearance, striking out four and not allowing an earned run at Pepperdine (4/13). 2007 SEASON: Had solid rookie campaign, pitching in 16 games and collecting a 1.50 ERA in 18 IP... pitched a scoreless inning in collegiate debut versus San Jose State (2/6)... threw 1.1 innings of shutout ball against Baylor (3/9)... worked an inning of relief, allowing one hit and no runs, versus Southern Utah (3/22)... made the start, pitching 2.0 innings and allowing one run, in 17-2 USF win over Nevada (4/17)... worked scoreless ninth in USF's 8-0 win at Portland (4/22). PREP CAREER: Four-year letter-winner at Santa Teresa High School... named BVAL Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior of the Year... earned BVAL First Team recognition as a senior, finishing 9-2 with a 0.61 ERA, and 82 strikeouts in 69 innings... compiled more than 30 career high school victories... named team MVP as a freshman and junior.
