2009 SEASON: Finished freshman year 4-1, 3.66 ERA... saw time on the mound in 24 games, with 11 starts... struck out 27 in 51.2 innings... made collegiate debut at UTSA in relief, tossing 1.0 innings with one strikeout (2/20)... first ever start and win came at UC Davis, a 2.0 inning one strikeout performance (2/24)... struck out a season high four in a 4.1 inning start at New Mexico State (3/21)... second win came at Pacific, a 3.0 inning, two strikeout game (4/7)... earned third victory at Sacramento State, a 12-7 drubbing, tossing 3.0 innings and striking out one (4/14)... fourth win came in longest outing of the season, a 6.0 inning 10-0 win over San Jose State (4/18).

PREP CAREER: Played four years of baseball at Jesuit High School... earned First Team All-League and Second Team All-State as a junior and senior... as a senior in '08 batted .391 with 18 RBI and was 6-2 with a 1.55 ERA on the mound with two complete games and 37 strikeouts... for the 2007 season, batted .377 with 20 RBI and was 6-1, 3.13 ERA with 42 strikeouts on the mound.

PERSONAL: Born in July of 1990 in San Diego, CA... son of Dan and Karen Love... goal for the season is to help pitch the team into a WCC Championship... chose USF for the coaches, the Jesuit education and the location... likes the weather in San Francisco... would like to be Theo Epstein for a day... best advice he has ever been given is to 'listen to the river'... lists Greg Moore as the most impressive person he has met... favorite movie is Remember the Titans... favorite book is Band of Brothers... favorite musical artist is Matisyahu... favorite food is Mexican... hobbies include skiing/snowboarding, waterskiing, and basketball... majoring in Business Administration.
