2005 ALL WEST COAST CONFERENCE HONORABLE MENTION GENERAL CAPSULE: Great closer...leader in the bullpen...can spot fastball...outstanding slider. AT USF (2005): Earned All-WCC Honorable Mention...made 24 appearance out of the bullpen and one start...earned the single season saves record when he notched his seventh vs. Portland on May 14...averaged over eight strike outs per start...was third on the pitching staff with 50 strike outs...his first save of the season was a three inning four strike out gem at Pacific (3/4)...started his only game of the season at home vs. Southern Utah, winning 10-3 in seven innings pitched with six strike outs...earned four scoreless saves in a row against WCC foes Portland and Santa Clara (3/19-26)...his sixth save was a one inning, three strike out performance at Santa Clara (5/7). AT USF (2004): Made 31 appearances out of the bullpen... tied the single season saves record with six...led pitching staff with a 2.61 ERA... picked up first save of season versus Cal Poly pitching a scoreless inning (2/20)... picked up saves in back to back games against Pacific (3/5-3/7)... threw two and a third scoreless innings while striking out three in a save over Santa Clara (3/26)... went two scoreless innings while striking out three and picking up a save against Loyola Marymount (4/24)... earned his final save of the season while striking out the only two batters he faced against Santa Clara (5/9). AT USF (2003): Enjoyed a successful freshman campaign... made nine appearances out of the bullpen... issued three walks in his first two outings and then did not surrender another the rest of the season... recorded a career-high six strikeouts against Santa Clara (4/6)... earned relief wins against Portland (5/3) with three strikeouts in 1.1 innings and collected another WCC victory at Loyola Marymount, allowing one run off two hits with two strikeouts in 3.1 innings... turned in a miniscule 1.42 ERA during WCC play. PREP CAREER: Played two years of varsity baseball, compiling an 8-1 record and 1.4 ERA... named Player and Pitcher of the Year in Hawaii in senior campaign... one year of varsity soccer... pitched 10 innings his junior year; over 64 in senior season.
