Jim Sammons begins his second year as Director of Baseball Operations and Camps with the University of San Francisco. Sammons will be in charge of organizing fund raising projects, such as the Lead-Off Crab Dinner and the annual golf tournament. He will also be in charge of team development, travel and other duties as assigned by the coaching staff. Before joining the staff, Sammons coached at Millikin University for three years and spent one year as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Chicago State University. He also worked for Major League Baseball as a part of their envoy program as well as working with club teams. He was the head coach of a the Galesburg Pioneers of the Central Illinois Collegiate League last summer. Sammons has a Bachelors in Exercise Science from Millikin University.
