(San Francisco, CA) - The University of San Francisco found its offense as it took an 11-1 win over Bay Area and West Coast Conference rival Saint Mary's at Benedetti Diamond on Friday afternoon. The Dons (25-28, 7-12) out hit SMC 13-4 in the contest.

USF put up a run in the fourth and two in the fifth before breaking the game open in the seventh. Senior designated hitter Chris Bacigalupi walked to start the inning, and was replaced by freshman pinch runner Bobby Ethel, who stole second and advanced to third on an errant throw. Kim walked before Railey singled to left, scoring Ethel. Knoble walked, then Poppert doubled through the left side, scoring Kim and Railey. Sommer singled to right and advanced to second on the throw home, but both Knoble and Poppert scored on the play. An out later, Chavez singled to right center, scoring Sommer.

A two run eighth put the game completely out of reach for the Gaels. With two outs, junior pinch hitter Matt Lieb walked and scored on pinch hitter Morales' double to left. Morales then scored on Sommer's single to right.
