USF senior pitcher Jeremy Kinney was named WCC/Rawlings Pitcher of the Week honor for his performances against Portland and California.

Kinney pitched a complete game win in the rubber match on the road in WCC play against the Pilots, leading USF to their second consecutive league series win. It was his second straight decision of the week, after earning a win in relief against Cal last Tuesday. For the week, in 12.2 innings of work, Kinney allowed just five runs (three earned) while striking out 10 batters.

In his complete game win againstPortland, Kinney did not issue a single walk, while throwing a 118 pitches, 88 for strikes. Kinney struck out eight against UP, including two in the ninth inning.
