USF Head Coach Nino Giarratano Talks About 2009 Alumni Weekend: Coach Giarratano Interview Hello All USF Diamond Don Alumni: It's that time again, Alumni Weekend and Alumni Games! We are sending this to set rosters and prepare for the Alumni Social. Come play, watch and enjoy the USF Dons Baseball Tradition! Come for one event or take part in the full three days of events. The weekend kicks off with the "Blast from the Past" (alumni that graduated after 1999), Saturday September 19th at 1:0 PM. Following the game we will have our Alumni Social Barbeque at 4:00 PM in the Hayes-Healy Pavilion above the field. For any alumni playing in the game on Saturday there will be towels provided so that you can shower and change and enjoy the Social. There will be two Alumni games on Sunday the 20th; the "Alumni Classic" (alumni that graduated before 1999), and the "Dons in the Pros" followed by a Luau style Barbeque from Hukilau. The weekend will conclude with the Dante Benedetti Golf Classic on Monday the 21st. To sign up for golf you can contact Kevin Cronin by email at dbf@pacbell.net. As a member of the USF baseball family, we need you to help us help the next generation of Dons by participating in the 3rd Annual Dante Benedetti Golf Classic. The Dante Benedetti Golf Classic is about preserving the 40 year legacy that Dante Benedetti left the University of San Francisco and the San Francisco community. Simply put, helping kids through the game of baseball. Please RSVP to our Director of Baseball Operations, Anthony D'Albora. Your contact information is important. Although we know much of it, your information helps confirm everything, especially year(s) you played or coached. He can be reached at aedalbora@usfca.edu. We will also need jersey/shirt sizes for all those playing. If you know of any friends and former Dons we have lost touch with please pass the word along to them as well. Along with this a sheet you can use to reply/RSVP with. With your confirmation by mail or email we will send a more detailed itinerary for the weekend and answer any questions.
