(San Francisco, CA) - USF head baseball coach Nino Giarratano has been a model of consistency during his tenure representing the Green and Gold. His commitment to his coaches, players and staff has never wavered, nor has his allegiance to the New York Yankees.

At least until St. Louis lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Divisional Series in a crushing sweep. Giarratano did not forecast the Cardinals' fall and stated he would wear Dodgers gear should Tony La Russa's club be eliminated.

Tuesday at the Diamond Dons practice, Giarratano made good on his word and sported the interlocking LA hat. The new headgear drew rave reviews from junior pitcher Matt Hiserman, senior infielder George Lujan and first year pitching coach Matt Hobbs - all diehard Dodger faithful.
