USF Baseball Helps Junior Giants

Oct. 20, 2008

(San Francisco, CA) - On October 11, USF baseball held a clinic at Benedetti Diamond for the Junior Giants.

The Junior Giants program is a non-profit organization in the Bay Area. The program consists of ball players aged 5-12 years old that get an opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of the game. This is the first time USF has worked with the Junior Giants. The Dons worked hands on with the kids teaching defensive skills, baserunning, bunting, and throwing.

Also on a community service note, the team voluntered for the Nike Women's Marathon this past Sunday (10/19). All 40 members of the team and coaching staff worked from 6:30am-2:00pm at the finish line on Ocean Beach.
