An athletic forward who finishes plays at the hoop...an outstanding
defender, shot blocker and rebounder...will complete fast breaks with
acrobatic dunks...in his second season at USF after a year at Ventura
College and a redshirt season.
Sophomore:
Led the team in many categories including minutes played (975)
rebounds (181), free-throws attempted and made... third leading scorer with
10.0 points per contest...fifth in the WCC in rebound average (6.0 rpg)...
scored his career high of 17 three times (at Indiana, vs. Portland and vs.
LMU)...in LMU game made 7 of 10 field goals...had an excellent December
averaging 12.1 points, shooting 51.2% floor and pulling 7.2
rebounds...great pass to Russell Hinder with :08 left gave USF win at Santa
Barbara (Nov. 18).
Redshirt Season:
Sat out the 1997-98 season as Ventura College dropped its basketball program.
Junior College:
Played in the prestigious Ventura College program in
1996-97 averaging 17 points and 9.6 rebounds and 3 steals per game per game
for the Pirates...named first team all-league, all-state honorable mention
as a freshman, named top newcomer at Ventura.
High School:
A top-100 player coming out of Artesia High School...
transferred to Locke High School his final semester where he played one
game for them scoring 25 points...named Long Beach Telegram Best in the
West #8 player...
averaged 17 points, 7 rebounds, 3 blocks and 3 steals per contest...named
first team all-league and best offensive player.
