Ryan Madry starts his second season with the men's basketball program at the University of San Francisco and will serve as the video coordinator on Rex Walters' staff. A Bay Area native, Madry brings playing and coaching experience to the role. Madry played two seasons at West Valley Junior College, first under current Cal State Fullerton head coach Bob Burton and then under current USF assistant Danny Yoshikawa. As a sophomore, Madry helped the Vikings to a 23-8 record and averaged 17.8 points per game to rank second among Coast South Conference scoring leaders. After two seasons at West Valley, Madry transferred to the University of West Georgia, where he earned two varsity letters. After completing his playing career, Madry served as a graduate assistant at West Georgia before returning to the West Coast and West Valley JC. Madry was the number two assistant in 2007-07 before being elevated to co-head coach for the 2007-08 campaign. No stranger to Bay Area basketball, Madry played at Oakland's Bishop O'Dowd High School under Mike Phelps and earned three varsity letters.
