Personal: Quickness is a big asset of this senior point guard, who has great athletic ability, and the experience to lead an offense...excellent defender...redshirt last season (hip injury) REDSHIRT SEASON: Missed all of last season due to hip injury, but was able to play in tour of Canary Islands and Spain where he played very well.
JUNIOR: Did an excellent job as the team's floor leader, ...his 1.95 asst./turnover ratio was 4th best in the WCC and his 111 assists were a career high (only 59 turnovers)...also ranked 4th in assist average (4.1) and steals (1.6)...scored the winning free-throws after being fouled at the buzzer in win over Boise State...shot 40.5% from 3-pt. range...averaged 4.9 points, 5.2 in league play...scored season high 11 vs. Pepperdine.
SOPHOMORE: Had a season of highs and lows...started the season as the team's no. 1 point guard and led the team to a 4-1 record before spraining his ankle in home win over Montana State (12/1)...outstanding game in win over Xavier with career best 12 points, 8 assists and 4 steals... played his best ball at the end of the season, with defensive stops on Haywood Eaddy and Jelani Gardner helping USF sweep Pepperdine and LMU at home.
FRESHMAN: Made an immediate contribution, playing in 28 games averaging 3.9 points, 1.7 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.4 rebounds per game...started 4 games...was a key contributor in USF's overtime win at San Diego, stealing the ball twice late in the game to help set up overtime in which the Dons won...scored a season high 11 points in win over Belmont and a WCC best nine points in late season win at Loyola...a 73.0% shooter from the free-throw-line, he made two free-throws to put USF in control with :09 left in USD OT win.
HIGH SCHOOL: Named San Francisco Examiner Regional Player of the Year in 1997...led Sacred Heart to the WCAL Championship in 1995-96 and a second-place finish in 1996-97...selected McDonald's All-American...averaged 18 points, nine assists, four rebounds and three steals as a senior...shot 39% from 3-point range.
