SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Darrell Tucker had 26 points and 13 rebounds as San Francisco beat Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 65-63 on Saturday night.

John Cox added 10 points for the Dons (5-8), who avenged a loss to the Islanders (5-8) last month.

Shaun Hemsley scored 15 points for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, while Derrick Murphy, Brian Evans and Armond Wainwright had 10 points apiece. Murphy also grabbed 12 rebounds.

The Islanders trailed by nine at halftime, but Wainwright's 3-pointer with seven minutes left gave Texas A&M-Corpus Christi a 51-49 lead. San Francisco regained the lead at 59-58 on Hondre Brewer's layup with three minutes left.

USF begins WCC play this weekend when they host Loyola Marymount Friday night and Pepperdine Saturday night.
