Darrell Tucker scored 26 points and John Cox added 20 as USF led from start to finish in defeating arch-rival Santa Clara before 4,827 fans at USF Saturday night.

The Dons (11-10, 6-2 WCC) for the second straight night broke ahead early and led 13-5 after five minutes of play, as Tucker scored USF's first nine points, on his way to his 13th double-double of the season and seventh in eight WCC contests. John Cox scored twenty after scoring a career high 22 Friday.

The Dons led the Broncos 40-26 at halftime, as Tucker scored 17 points before intermission. Santa Clara (9-12, 3was paced by 13 points by Steve Ross and 11 each by Kyle Bailey and Justin Holbrook. USF shot 48.5% for the game to 38.7% for the visiting Broncos.

USF will next play at Pepperdine (8-0), the WCC's first place team, Friday night in Malibu.
