Shamell Stallworth scored 17 points to pace five Dons in double figures as the USF men tuned up for next Friday's basketball opener vs. Seton Hall by defeating the touring London Leopards 102-78 Sunday night at USF.

Senior center Hondre Brewer played well for USF making six of eight shots, pulling seven rebounds and blocking five shots, while freshman Michael Chambers scored 12 points makinf four of four from behind the three point line. Senior LyRyan Russell added nine points, eight assists and three steals, with Darrell Tucker adding 15 points and John Cox 12.

USF broke out to a 13-2 lead and led all the way, expanding to a 46-32 lead at the half. London, paced by 20 points by Jason Kimbraugh, pulled to within five early in the second half, but the Dons pulled away again.

All eleven Dons who played scored at least a point, with seven Dons scoring at least nine points.

"I was really pleased by the way we shot the ball," said Dons' coach Phil Mathews. "and I really liked our defensive intensity in the first half. We had a good effort out there."

The Dons open the regular season against Seton Hall next Friday at 7:00 p.m.
