Darrell Tucker scored 22 points and pulled 10 rebounds as USF opened a three-game homestand with a 73-59 win over Sonoma State Wednesday night at Memorial Gymnasium.

Shamell Stallworth added 16 points and James Bayless and John Cox 11 each to help lead USF to its second win in eight games.

The Dons took a 32-28 lead into intermission, their first halftime lead of the season, as Darrell Tucker scored seven point in the last three minutes before intermission.

With the scored tied at 50, USF made a decisive run, scoring seven straight points and eventually built the lead to 14.

Sonoma State (4-2) was paced by 13 points by Jermaine Thompson and 11 by Trevor Howe.

USF hosts Brigham Young Monday and Cal State Fullerton Saturday.
