USF DOWNS PEPPERDINE - PROPELS SUTTON TO 800TH VICTORY: After an inspiring come-from-behind 85-82 victory Saturday night at Pepperdine, San Francisco concludes the first half of West Coast Conference play at Loyola Marymount Monday night. USF interim head coach Eddie Sutton made history in Malibu, becoming just the fifth coach in Division I history to collect 800 career wins. The coaching legend directed a furious USF rally which saw the Dons come back from a 19-point second half deficit to win their fifth straight against the Waves. Sophomore forward Dior Lowhorn scored a game-high 28 points, senior guard Danny Cavic added a career-high 23, while junior guard Manny Quezada turned in his first career double-double with 11 points and a career-high 12 assists. Now San Francisco turns its focus towards Loyola Marymount, looking to complete a rare road league sweep.

QUOTING SUTTON:
On reaching 800: "I'm pleased that it's happened. I think it's probably meant more to my three sons, because they're the ones that pushed me to come out here when I was asked to come. There won't be too many coaches who coach to my age. I don't think there's going to be too many dinosaurs. It's different today. It's harder coaching than it once was"

On the Dons: "They've tested my patience at times. But I'm happy that we were able to win. I think they're capable of winning some more games."

PEPPERDINE GAME NOTES: Manny Quezada turned in his first career double-double with 11 points and a career-high 12 assists... Dior Lowhorn, the WCC's leading scorer, turned in his 11th 20-plus scoring night and has scored in double-digits in every game of his USF career...
