SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - San Diego's Dana White scored only six points, but they included the go-ahead basket with 2:48 remaining as San Diego downed San Francisco 70-64 Saturday night.

The victorious Toreros (14-7, 5-3 West Coast Conference) led most of the way, but the Dons (15-6, 3-5) went ahead on a dunk by center Kenyon Jones with three minutes to go.

White then placed San Diego ahead to stay and forward Tom Lippold added a driving lay-up, triggering the Toreros' 11-4 run down the stretch and handing USF its second home loss. San Diego defeated USF by outrebounding them 43-31 and knocking down 27 of 33 free-throws.

Jones, who topped all scorers with 23 points, pulled the Dons within one point at 63-62 on a lay-up with 1:52 to go, but San Diego answered with five free throws in the next 25 seconds.

San Diego, which jumped to an 8-2 lead, was led by forward Cameron Rigby's 13 points and 11 rebounds. Jones added nine rebounds and three blocks for the Dons, who were hampered by .368 shooting and were outrebounded 43-31.
