Justin Bauman Promoted to USF Assistant Coach
June 17, 2010
(San Francisco) - USF Justin Bauman has been elevated from the Director of Basketball Operations (DOBO) to the third assistant spot for the 2010-11 season as announced today by head coach Rex Walters. Bauman prepares for his third season at the University of San Francisco and his fifth working with fellow Kansas alum Coach Walters.
Bauman served as the DOBO at Florida Atlantic and moved to the west coast with Walters for the 2008-09 season.
"I'm really excited for Justin Bauman," Walters said. "J.B. has been with me throughout my entire coaching career. He's loyal, hard-working, organized. I know he'll do a great job at recruiting. He's a grinder and that's something that is essential in being a good recruiter. He's been a part of great teams at Kansas, including a Final Four team and he's helped me in four years at Florida Atlantic and now USF. I know he'll do a great job."
Bauman will continue his involvement in all facets of the Dons program and looks forward to the new challenges ahead.
"I am excited about the opportunity Coach Walters has given me here at USF," Bauman said. "Coach has been great to work with over the years. I look forward to continuing to elevate this tradition-rich program with our great staff here at USF."
