(San Francisco) - Naismith Hall of Fame coach Roy Williams, who guided North Carolina to the 2009 NCAA Championship, headlines the second annual USF Basketball Coaching Clinic September 25-26 at The Olympic Club as announced by head coach Rex Walters. Current college assistant coach Mike Dunlap (Oregon) and NBA assistant coach Kevin Eastman (Boston) will also conduct clinic sessions.
The two day event will be held downtown at The Olympic Club located at 524 Post Street, beginning Friday, September 25 at 6:00 PM. In the inaugural event, the USF Coaching Clinic was headlined by another Naismith Hall-of-Famer, the late Chuck Daly.
Coach Walters, who played for four Naismith Hall of Fame coaches during his collegiate and NBA career (Roy Williams, Daly, Larry Brown and Pat Riley), is excited to host (with the Olympic Club) an event attracting coaches with outstanding credentials.
Roy Williams - North Carolina Head Coach
Coach Roy Williams coached Walters for two seasons at Kansas. During Coach Walters two season at KU, Coach Williams was 56-12 overall in 1991-92 and 1992-93, winning back-to-back Big Eight titles, capped by a trip to the 1993 Final Four. After accumulating a wining percentage greater than .800 in 15 seasons at Kansas, he became the eighteenth head coach at North Carolina. Williams' winning percentage is third all-time in NCAA history. He has taken his teams to seven Final Fours (fourth all-time), has also won at least one game in the NCAA Tournament for 20 consecutive years (all time record) and has led his teams at Kansas and North Carolina to 20 consecutive NCAA Tournaments (second all-time). He holds the active record for consecutive NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament appearances and is the winningest active coach among coaches with at least 10 years experience. Williams was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007.
Coach Mike Dunlap - Associate Head Coach, Oregon
Recently hired from the University of Arizona by Ernie Kent at the University of Oregon as their Associate Head Coach, Dunlap entered the NCAA Division I ranks after spending two seasons as an assistant coach with the Denver Nuggets. Prior to joining the Nuggets, Dunlap, a two-time National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Coach of the Year won two Division II national championships (2000, 2002) in nine seasons as the head coach at Metropolitan State College. Dunlap built the Roadrunners into a nationally prominent program and quickly became Metro State's all-time winningest basketball coach. Prior to his tenure at Metro State, Dunlap served three seasons as the head coach of the Adelaide 36ers, a professional team in Australia, directing the club to a 59-33 (.641) record and two National Basketball League Final Fours (1995, 1996). Dunlap also served as an assistant coach at USC under George Raveling with other assistant stops at Iowa and Loyola Marymount.

Kevin Eastman - Assistant Coach, Boston Celtics
Coach Kevin Eastman is set for his fifth season as an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics. A coaching veteran at all levels, Eastman served 22 years as an assistant or head college basketball coach. He is the former Nike Basketball National Director of Player Development for the nation's elite College and High School Players. Eastman currently directs the prestigious Nike Basketball Academies, working side-by-side with Paul Pierce (Boston Celtics), Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles Lakers), Steve Nash (Phoenix Suns), Vince Carter (Orlando Magic), and Lebron James (Cleveland Cavaliers). He has given clinics across the United States and internationally, including in Belgium, Germany, China and Argentina. Eastman has been elected to both his college (University of Richmond) and high school (Haddonfield Memorial HS, NJ) Halls of Fame.
