(San Francisco) - USF men's basketball hosted inaugural Rex Walters Coaching Clinic Saturday, August 30 at War Memorial Gym. The Dons welcomed more than 100 basketball coaches from all levels to War Memorial Gym.

Naismith Hall of Fame coach Chuck Daly was the keynote speaker at the event, along with current Orlando Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy. First year USF head coach Rex Walters also presented his philosophy during the afternoon session.

Coach Daly coached Walters, while guiding the New Jersey Nets and compiled an outstanding resume of success at the collegiate, professional and Olympic ranks. Coach Van Gundy worked with Walters while serving as an assistant coach with the Miami Heat.

A pair of USF Hall-of-Famers and former Dons head coaches, Jim Brovelli and Ross Giudice, were also in attendance.
