(San Francisco) - Join USF athletics and the Green & Gold Club as it presents the 25th annual George O'Brien "Green & Gold" Scrimmage games, Saturday, October 24 at War Memorial Gym. This popular event will showcase the extensive renovations to War Memorial Gym and will give fans and alumni a first glimpse of what should be an exciting men's and women's basketball seasons on the Hilltop.

This game is in memory of our dear and loyal friend, George O'Brien. Both Dons basketball teams will be featured in the popular event, with the women's scrimmage set for a 1:00 PM tip-off with the men's immediately following. A post-event reception will close out the festivities, featuring comments from men's head coach Rex Walters and women's head coach Tanya Haave.

Fans will also have opportunities to purchase season tickets, secure seat naming rights for the team bench chairs and buy sections of the old War Memorial Gym floor. For more information on the Green & Gold Scrimmage, please contact Julie Congi at (415) 422-2875/congi@usfca.edu.
