    Former Oakland prep star Darrell Tucker scored 25 points to lead USF to a 99-74 victory over Five Star Sports 99-74 Tuesday night in the Dons. Exhibition opener. After leading only 39-36 at halftime, USF went on a 10-0 run to start the second half and outscored Five Star Sports 60-38 in the final 20 minutes.

    Junior Ali Thomas and freshman John Cox also had strong outings, contributing 19 points each. Thomas was also 4-for-9 from three-point range, and scored 13 of his points in the second half to help the Dons pull away.

    Topper Allen, a former Pepperdine star from San Francisco, led Five Star Sports with 22 points.

    USF will next be in action against Nunawading Spectres of Australia in another exhibition match, November 9 at 7:00 PM in War Memorial Gym.
