San Francisco, CA (November 9) Junior James Lee scored 22 points and senior transfer Kenyon Jones added 19 as the USF men's basketball team prepped for their NIT opener at Maryland with a 86-73 win over Nunawading Spectres of Australia Tuesday night at Memorial Gym

The Dons took a 50-27 halftime lead and coasted to the victory. Lee, in his second season at USF led the way hitting all ten of his shots from the field, while former Cal center Kenyon Jones had a double-double 19 points on 7-9 shooting and 11 rebounds. Freshman John Cox added 14 for USF while Nunawading was paced by 19 points by Mike Spears.

USF opens its regular season Wednesday, Nov. 17th with a preseason NIT contest at Maryland. The game will be televised live by Bay TV.
