Complete Battle at the Beach Round Two Results in PDF Format Get Acrobat Reader

(Newport Coast, CA) - USF men's golf fired an opening round shot 368 in the second round and remains in 13th place after 36 holes of the inaugural Battle at the Beach Monday at the Pelican Hill Golf Course. Senior Domingo Jojola shot a 2-under 69 and enters the final round in a share of sixth place at 140 (71, 69) on the par-71 course playing at 6,945 yards in an event hosted by Long Beach State and UCLA.

No. 24 Oregon State leads the event with 18 holes remaining at 7-under 703 (348, 355), one shot in front of charging No. 6 Washington at 6-under 740 (353, 351). No. 14 UCLA is third at 3-under 707 (354, 353) and Arkansas sits in fourth place at even par 710 (349, 361). Texas Arlington vaulted into fifth place at 5-over 715 (364, 351).

Jojola carded four birdies on the day to lead the way for the Dons, while sophomore Ji Hwan Park shot an even-par 71. Senior Jesse Galvon fired a 1-over 72 for USF. Washington's Chris Williams leads the field at 8-under after firing a 6-under 65 Monday, finishing at 134 (59, 65).

San Francisco shaved five strokes off its opening round tally, but could not make up any ground on the leader board and with 18 holes remaining have a two-round tally of 741 (373, 368).
