USF Men's Golf Finishes 13th at Battle At The Beach

(Newport Coast, CA) - USF men's golf finished the Inaugural Battle at the Bay in 13th place after shooting a 54-hole total of 1,113 at the Pelican Hill Golf Course. The Dons shot 372 in Tuesday's final round and no one carded par or better on the par-71 course playing at 6,945 yards.
No. 14 UCLA made up a four shot deficit in the final round en route to a one-stroke win in an event it co-hosted with Long Beach State. The Bruins shot 348 in the final round finishing at 1055 (354, 353, 348). No. 6 Washington (353, 351, 352) shared second place with Arkansas (349, 361, 346) at 9-under 1056. Oregon State led after two rounds, but settled for fourth place at 5-under 1060 (348, 355, 357), while San Diego State rounded out the top-five teams at 5-over 1070 (352, 367, 351).
Three Dons finished in the top-50, led by senior Domingo Jojola in a share of 31st place at 3-over 216 (71, 69, 76). Senior Chris Cunningham (71, 77, 72) and sophomore Ji Hwan Park (75, 71, 74) shared 46th place at 220. Arkansas' David Lingmerth won medalist honors at 8-under 205 (70, 71, 64).
San Francisco will host the third Triumph at Pauma Valley, running March 15-16.
