Dons Stand In Fourth After Round One Of Lonnie D. Small

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - San Francisco finished day one of the Lonnie D. Smalls Spring Classic golf tournament in fourth, having accumulated 298 strokes. Chris Cunningham and Tony Toulon lead the Dons as both golfers sit tied for 12th, one-over 73.

Cunningham and Toulon are knotted up with Stetson's Thomas Parker and Jayson Judy of Elon. Close behind is USF's Kurt Nino who completed his first round two-over 74. Nino stands tied for 16th.

San Francisco's Conor McElyea and Kenny Adams sat fourth and fifth on USF's team standings. McElyea stands tied for 51st, shooting six-over 78 and Adams is tied for 59th with a score of 79.

Overall, Elon leads the team standings with a combined score of 289. Florida Gulf Coast is second with 293 and Campbell is third with 294. Jimmy Lytle of Elon tops the individual list after a round of 67. Josh Gallman of USC Upstate, Skip Murphy of Duke and Robert Taylor of Florida Gulf Coast are tied for second at three-under 69.

Round two from Buies Creek, N.C. is set to tee off tomorrow at 9 a.m. ET.
