San Francisco Finishes Lonnie D. Small In 8th Place

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - San Francisco ended their time at the Lonnie D. Small Spring Classic with a 8th place team finish Tuesday. The Dons shot 308 in the second round of action for a final stroke tally of 606 (298 - 308).

Kurt Nino was the top Dons individual coming in 11th with 146 strokes. Nino followed a first round of 74 with a second round of 72.

Chris Cunningham ended up in 28th with a final score of 150 (73-77). Tony Toulon was 40th with 153 strokes (73-80). Conor McElyea came in 58th (78-79; 157) and Kenny Adams was 70th (79-82; 162).

For the fourth year running the Campbell Camels took the team title. The Camels just inched past Elon, winning by one stroke 583 to 584. Gardner-Webb was third with 589 strokes (304-285). USC Upstate's Josh Gallman won the event shooting 141 (69-72).

The Dons next compete at the Ogio Pacific Coast Intercollegiates on March 31 in Solvang, Calif.
