Dons Finish 10th in Pacific Coast Intercollegiates; Prep for WCC Championships on April 16th

The USF men's golf team shot a final round 285 to finish in tenth place at the OGIO Pacific Coast Intercollegiates that concluded Tuesday at Alisal River Course in Solvang, Calif.

The Dons, who finished at 856 for the tournament, were paced by sophomore Jesse Galvon who shot a two under 70 on the afternoon. The 856 was USF's low tournament score of the season. Galvon was the Dons' low scorer in the event, the last tournament before USF visits the West Coast Conference Championships April 16th-17th in Lompac. Galvon scored a four under 212 for the three rounds of the event, one stroke less than teammate Kenny Adams. Taylor Hobin recorded a 215, Chris Cunningham a 217 and Thomas Buran a 223.

Taylor Hobin and Thomas Boran shot even par 72's on Tuesday. The event was won by Cal Poly, who recorded a 827, beating Denver University by five strokes.
