The USF men's golf team shot a final round 311 to finish with a 54 hole total of 906 and placed tied for fifth in the West Coast Conference Championships that concluded April 17th.
After shooting 300 in the first round and 295 in the second, the Dons slumped Tuesday with Domingo Jojola pacing USF with a 76 and Chris Cunningham a 77.
"We came up against a bad break today," said Dons' head coach Dr. Gary Nelson. "The winds started kicking up later in the day and the final groups had tough conditions. Pepperdine, playing on their own course knew how to play it and they overcame it to win the event."
Jojola was named all-West Coast Conference.
The Pepperdine Waves won the tournament with a total of 892, defeating San Diego who was six strokes back with an 898. They were followed by LMU with 901, St. Mary's with 904 and USF and Santa Clara who each recorded 906.
