(Loveland, OH) - USF men's golf enters the final round of the 2008 Xavier Invitational in 12th place after shooting a three-over 578 Monday at the Oasis Country Club. The Dons got an outstanding performance from senior Kyle Prolo, who enters Tuesday in fourth place on the leader board after firing an 8-under 136 (68, 68) on Monday.

San Francisco is within striking distance of the top five with 18 holes remaining. Eastern Kentucky blistered the field with a 560 (282, 278), four strokes in front of Campbell at 563. Marquette is third at 568, Winthrop is fourth at 570, while Marshall rounds out the top-five teams at 571.

Prolo set the standard for the Dons on day one and shared the tournament lead in par-five scoring at 8-under. The 2008 NCGA Pub Links Champion carded 12 birdies and was 3-under on par-fours for the day.

Junior Domingo Jojola is tied for 29th at even-par 144 (70, 74) and turned in 24 par holes and was 1-under on par-threes. Junior Chris Cunningham recorded two eagles to lead the field.

USF looks to make a move Tuesday in final round action at Oasis Country Club.
