USF Men's Golf Finishes in 11th Place in Hawaii

(Kaneohe, HI) - USF men's golf posted a final round score of 307 at the 2006 Hawaii Fall Invitational, held at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Club. The Dons finished their last fall tournament in 11th place at 894 (298, 289, 307). Sophomore Jesse Galvon posted USF's best final round score, a one-over 73 to lead the Dons in the final day of the three day event.
Sophomore Domingo Jojola paced the Dons overall with a two-over 218 (72, 71, 75), good for a share of ninth place. Junior Kenny Adams was USF's next best finisher tied for 34th place at 224 (72, 72, 80).
West Coast Conference team Loyola Marymount captured the title with an even par 864 (280, 294, 290). New Mexico State and the University of San Diego shared runner-up honors at 869 and San Diego State finished in fourth place at 879. Louisiana Tech rounded out the top five teams at 880. After winning the first playoff hole, Loyola Marymount's Brian Locke earned the individual crown with a 10-under 206 (69, 71, 66).
USF men's golf returns to action February 26-27 in Newport Beach to kick off the 2007 spring season at the Anteater Invitational.
